This weekend, the Conference of the Parties, COP 26 begins in Glasgow, bringing together global leaders to accelerate the fight against climate change and the goals of the Paris Agreement on Climate Change.

What PFG are doing

We’ve pledged to take action, setting an overall target to achieve net-zero emissions by 2040 and we’re putting in processes to help us do this. Most recently, our offices become ISO 14001 Certified thanks to the environmental management system we have in place.

This month, we’ve become a signatory of the UN Global Compact Network UK which supports members to turn global momentum on sustainability into practical local action. Being a signatory of this network will help us advance our five long-term UN sustainable goal commitments which we prioritised in 2020, and set our science-based targets to reach net-zero. You can read more about these goals and PFG’s commitment to them here

Muhrah Al Sultan, Corporate Responsibility Manager

We’re really excited to become a signatory of the UN Global Compact Network in the UK. It’s giving PFG access to so many resources to help us take practical actions towards climate change and reach our net-zero target in line with the Business Ambition for 1.5°C

Join the fight – What can individuals do?

At COP26, over 190 world leaders will agree on urgent action to tackle climate change, but it’s not just world leaders who can take action. COP 26 supports the online campaign #OneStepGreener, encouraging people to take simple steps to make life more sustainable  - they all add up to make a big change!

We’re asking colleagues to tell us what steps they’ve recently taken, or will take now to be One Step Greener and nominate others to take the pledge too.

Some of our colleagues have already shared what they've started doing here.
