Provident Financial plc announces two accolades in one evening, winning the PwC Building Public Trust (BPT) Awards for ‘Excellence in reporting’ in the FTSE 250 along with Communicate Magazine and Future value's Evolution of the Strategic Report award for the best business model.
Andrew Fisher, Finance Director at Provident Financial accepted the BPT award which recognises and celebrates trust and transparency in corporate reporting, saying, “We at Provident Financial pride ourselves in tailor making products to the needs of customers in the non-standard credit market and so we are pleased to receive recognition of our Annual Report also meeting the needs of its audiences.”
The Communicate and Futurevalue award for the strategic report places particular focus on the most effective exposition of a company business model, which demonstrates clear and consistent corporate goals, objectives and strategy.
Director at Futurevalue Ian McDonald Wood, who presented the award, highlighted the strengths in the presentation of Provident Financial’s business model, saying “Provident Financial explains simply and clearly how it creates value uniquely for customers in a 12-page business model section. This expansive piece is about the ‘why’ as well as the ‘how’, clarifying why it is profitable through the exploration of key differentiators as well as explaining how its business model works. Provident Financial also relates its Group model to its divisions and their operational processes, capturing the sense of an aligned Group. The business model is quite clearly the foundation of the strategy framework.”
