Job description
A vacancy has arisen for a three days a week PR Manager to work in the Corporate Affairs department at the company’s headquarters in Bradford. The Corporate Affairs department's role is to communicate with the company's external stakeholders including political and regulatory audiences, the media, investors and the City, and the communities in which our customers, agents and staff live and work. This position supports the Director of Communications in media relations, production of the company's annual report, maintenance of the company's website, social media, PR for the community outreach programme, and general communications activity. A PR Executive reports to the PR Manager.
The department works with leading advisers and consultants in the areas of PR, public affairs, media relations, investor relations, corporate responsibility, digital communications and design.
Occasional duties

- A strong empathy with digital communication in terms of websites, social media, etc.

Salary
£40,000 pa pro rata + car

Job description
A vacancy has arisen for a Community Affairs Manager to work at the company’s headquarters in Bradford. The Community Affairs Manager is responsible for coordinating the Provident Financial Group’s community outreach programmes funded by a 1% Profit Before Tax contribution from the company. Development and implementation of the corporate office and Consumer Credit Division’s programmes comprise a major part of the role. This includes our flagship Good Neighbour programme involving three-year funding for over 30 projects in local communities throughout the UK and the Republic of Ireland, employee volunteering, and employee matched giving. Details of this programme can be found on the company’s website and in the company’s Corporate Responsibility reports, again, held on the company’s website. Other areas of responsibility include developing relationships with the company’s community partners, representing the company in the area of community relations, and providing auditing and assurance for the programme.
The position reports to the Director of Communications and is supported by a Community Affairs Executive who reports to the Community Affairs Manager.
Candidates should possess the following:
- experience of community relations gained within a company or NGO
- excellent personal communication skills
- good presentation and report writing skills
- good project management and organisational skills
- a strong empathy with the charitable sector with which the job holder will be working
- a willingness to undertake considerable travel to maintain contact with the various projects.
Salary
£45,000 plus car
