Our approach to community investment is guided by our belief that we have a duty to be a model corporate citizen and a positive force in people’s lives. We serve customers in communities’ right across the UK and Ireland and we seek to work with local partners to address a wide range of issues that affect our customers. We also look further afield and recognise that there are opportunities to support projects overseas. We especially seek to address the social inclusion needs of people who live in deprived communities as well as supporting the money advice sector to address topics such as financial education and to carry out research into what affects our customers.
Good Neighbour is our flagship community programme, which helps to fulfil our ambition to be the UK's leading community-based lender by creating opportunities to provide support for the social challenges faced by our communities.
Team challenges enable our employees to spend time away from the office helping their local community. Each year, Provident employees take part in a range of team challenges - from painting and decorating local community centres, to gardening and planting raised beds at schools to enable pupils to grow their own fruit and vegetables.
The structures we have in place guarantee that, despite economic uncertainty, CR remains a core part of our business.
